THE SUBJECT
The subject of this international competition is a bath designing program to complement the antelope collection on the DNA+ web site:
Products have to be designed for all, in other words have an easy access, be environmentally safe, compliant for a use in a wet environment for a residential use as well as for a commercial use. Material limitation; wood, Corian, aluminum, stainless steel, glass, acrylic glass.
Technology limitation: die making, tubing, extrusion, thermoforming, CNC machining are preferred.
DNA+ is looking for new and innovative functional designs. Each submitter is to invent new ways of relating to life in the bath environment.
Each submitter will have to be able to transition a vision into real working products for daily life use. Entries are invited for the following categories:
- FURNITURE> such as cabinets, Shelves, mirrors, wall mounted boards, seating...
- ACCESSORY> such toilet paper holders, hangers, towel bars / holders, tooth brush holders, soap dispensers, soap dishes, cups, magazine holders...
- LIGHTING> such as a wall / ceilling lights, sconces or objects with integrated light such as a mirror or a countertop...).
AWARDS
The designers of winning entries will be granted unlimited 9% Royalties as awards.
DNA+ will exercise the option to use the rights for production on an exclusive basis (without time limitations),
DNA+ will pay a quarterly remuneration based on Royalties to the designer for each product sold nationally and internationally as well.
DESIGN CRITERIA
Submissions should not be currently in production or known by any third party.
previously published or exhibited design concepts are not accepted.
the jury will award designs and concepts which are innovative and manufacturable in terms of their formal / functional and technological aspects.
designers are asked to provide mature concept art, 2D/3D rendering views, as well as technical drawings of the finished product and possibly part / assembly in a CAD format.
